School spirit is a sense of identity and community owned by members of educational institutions. This can apply to all types of schools, from elementary school to university. School members can manifest a passion in the school color exhibition in clothing and decorations, attending athletic events, orally orally in the form of singing or cheering.
Educators in primary and secondary education often associate appropriate behavior with school spirit, especially in the context of situations where students are outside the school itself. Because student behavior reflects in school, representing it also indicates the level of student investment in the good name of their institution. The definition of school spirit is closely related to good sportsmanship among students and their families at sporting events and is loosely based on mutual encouragement of one another.

Pep rallies
In the United States, an event closely related to a school spirit called pep rally was held during or after school hours. The seasonal sports team is usually recognized. It was held generally before a university-level sporting event. Other participants are JROTC, Cheerleaders and marching bands or pep bands.
