The Nordica brand produces ski boots, ski boots, and ski accessories. Based in Giavera del Montello, Italy, this brand was purchased from Benetton by Tecnica Group in 2003.

In 1939, after years of experience as a merchant in hiding, the brothers Adriano and Oddone Vaccari founded "Nordica" in Montebelluna, making casual footwear. In the years after the war Nordica specializes in ski boots, although it continues to supply the market with cross-country ski boots and climbing shoes. Work is still seasonal and equipment manual.
In 1950 Zeno Cola ² gave its name to the Nordica ski boats and to the revolutionary layers designed by Colmar. Zeno became World Champion with Nordica on the slopes and giant slalom of the 1950 World Championships in Aspen, Colorado and gave his name to the ski boots made by the company at Trevignano.
The 60s witnessed a radical transformation: 1963 marked the introduction of the buckle, a binder system contained in Austria and applied for the first time in Italy by Nordica. However, the year's great innovation was an all-polyurethane ski boot; special prints (one for right boot and one for left) and injection suppression developed.
The year 1968 was an important year in terms of the company's technical decisions: the top of the skin of traditional models coated with plastic externally using polyurethane or pvc and cufflings raised.
Nordica established its first affiliation in the United States, which was the result of an agreement between Nordica and Rossignol. Other affiliates opened in Austria, Japan, Switzerland, France, and Germany.
In 2003, the Nordica brand was purchased by Tecnica Group. The company's new strategy is aimed at the ski sector with special attention paid to racing products and to the competition sector. The feeling between some famous names in skiing and the Nordica brand was confirmed once again by a great show at the World Cup and by the recent World Championships at St. Moritz., Further confirmation of the competitive spirit of Nordica and a great desire to be number one again.
In 2006 Nordica presented XBI, a fully integrated balance enhancement system.
In 2009 Nordica celebrates 70 years of performance and passion; important goals are achieved thanks to the work of an outstanding international team, racing and freeski athletes and testers' advice and of course high quality products that, over the years, emphasize the high brand of Nordica.
