Robyn went to the mainstream bureau when he was 15 and although they were ready to sign it, he did not feel ready. After taking a year off he came back and started doing straight-sized modeling for a year. Finding it was not worth the effort to maintain the size 8 required, he signed a contract with Bella model management, the "plus size" model agency in Australia, when he was 18 years old.
