" Proper Condom Use " is the seventh episode of the fifth season of the South Park animated television series, and the 72nd episode of the entire series. "Proper Condom Use" was originally aired in the United States on August 1, 2001 at Comedy Central.

In the episode, teachers at South Park Elementary School began to teach children's sexual education classes. However, the teachers do it incorrectly, leading the boys to fight against the girls.

Plot

Cartman and Kenny learn from 5th grade students that "milking" the dog is possible, when in fact it only stimulates the dog to the point of ejaculation. They showed acting to Stan and Kyle, who were impressed.

Stan did the technique on his own dog, Sparky in front of his parents and their friends during a book club meeting, where he was sentenced for ten months. Stan could not understand why he was being punished, because his parents were too embarrassed to explain sexual stimulation to him, and decided that schools should be responsible for teaching sex education.

Mr. Mackey tries to teach fourth graders about male anatomy and female anatomy and the mechanisms of sexual intercourse. Not having sex since the age of 19, Mr. Mackey can not teach any useful boy. Ms. Choksondik, intend to frighten the girls into safe sex, spend her lessons teaching girls about any type of STD they might catch if a boy does not wear a condom, but does not mention that to catch this disease, first - first they have to have sex. The boy tries to talk to the Chef, the only person who actually has a lot of sexual experience, but he (who opposes the class ed sex and wants the kids to keep their naivete) does not tell them anything. The girls became very afraid of the boys who, when approached by them at lunch, they retreated and screamed in fear when they found out the children were not wearing condoms. Afraid they will spread the disease, boys go to the pharmacy to buy condoms.

Heard from the pharmacist that condoms are bought, the school believes this is because students are sexually active. As a result, Ms Choksondik said they should start teaching kindergarten students about sex education.

Ms. Choksondik teaches girls about pregnancy, which makes them scared even more than before when she shows them a detailed video about birth. The children then buy condoms and wear them all the time, without understanding how they work. Mackey says that they are only worn during intercourse. Angry that the girls were misleading them, and thinking that the girls were the ones who brought the disease, they became convinced that they had to get rid of the girls. The girls built a great fortress to keep the children out. The boys told them to leave the city in a siege reminiscent of Mad Max 2, but the girls refused and attacked the children (killing Kenny with a boomerang), which escalated into battle.

While preparing the lesson plan, Ms Choksondik and Mr. Mackey becomes aroused by the sexual nature of their conversation, and claims to have sexual fantasies about each other. Both men undress, and have unprotected sexual intercourse.

Meanwhile, the battle attracts the attention of adults and parents, who are angry at children for conflict. Ms. Choksondik apologizes to the girls for not informing them that STD is transmitted through sexual intercourse.

The Chef, however, states that parents are to blame because they are so quick to let the school handle sex education rather than teach it to their own children. The episode ends with Cartman stimulating another dog because everyone sees it without objection.

During the closing credits, Garrison can be heard still teaching different sexual positions kindergarten.

Rating and censorship

In Australia, this episode received an MA rating, due to its strong sexual content, and graphic violence near the end of the episode. Due to its contents, this episode also airs at 9 pm at night rather than the usual 8:30 timeslot program. The English satellite channel Sky One refused to broadcast this episode due to its strong sexual and violent content, even though it aired TV footage with scenes from the episode. UK Channel 4's terrestrial channel and British cable channel Paramount Comedy 1 and MTV UK aired episodes without edits made. Also, this episode is not broadcast on the syndicate of television in the United States and is only featured on Comedy Central.

According to DVD commentary, Comedy Central asked Parker and Stone to drastically shorten the section on which Garrison demonstrates how to wear a condom by using his mouth with a condom around the lips and strangle the penis model used in the lesson. They defended the scene when the show aired, but the re-episode cut Garrison put his lips on the dildo to the kids who looked at the shock at what Garrison was doing off-screen.

Continuity

In the episode, Mackey states that he has not had sex in "about 21 years" despite the fact that in the episode "Ike's Wee Wee" Mackey is short married and went on a honeymoon in India. Similarly, Mackey told Choksondik that, as he grew older, his head "seemed somewhat larger while the rest of his body remained the same", contrary to the explanation for Mackey's large head provided at "Ike's Wee Wee" where Mackey's head shrinks back to the usual size when he took off his tie.

Home release

"Proper Condom Use", along with fourteen other episodes of South Park: Complete Fifth Season, was released on a three-disc DVD set in the United States on February 22, 2005. The set included short audio comments by Parker and Stone for every episode.

"Proper Condom Use" was released on DVD in June 2002, along with episodes "Cripple Fight," "Scott Tenorman Must Die" and "It Hits the Fan", in a video titled Injury to Injury .
