Histori

Origins

Before the 18th century, European men wore pants and hoses. In Tudor times, these pants were loose, but in the 1660s, tight pants became fashionable. It was popularized by the Frenchman at Louis XIII's court, as part of three suits that also included a kind of skirt coat called Justacorps, tricorne hat, powder wig, and long waistcoat. During the Restoration era, tighter breeches were introduced to England, and the rest of Europe, because the pieces were considered better for the feet.

From the sixteenth to the nineteenth century, the Mughlai nobility adapted to the strict Churidars worn under the knees. These trousers, and other elements of traditional clothing like Shalwar Kameez, are often worn by Englishmen working in India, especially officers from the East India Trading Company.

Beginning of the 19th century

Fashionable tight pants from 1805 to 1850, which were derived from loose work pants worn as a political statement by Sans-Culottes during the French Revolution. This "pantalon," was popularized by the English District era like Beau Brummel, which was worn high on the waist and adjusted to accentuate the legs like the previously fashionable pants in the upper class. Pantalons are tied (or buttoned) around the ankles and usually put in boots.

Decline 1890-1940

Pants, which means tight tight pants, but now only synonymous, mounted more loosely from the 1840s and beyond as mass production replaced sewing. Beginning in the Edwardian era and continuing into the 1920s, "Oxford" or "collegiate" and plus fours are fashionable among the younger generation. As the name implies, Oxford's bag comes from the UK's elite university, where young upper-class men pursue an active and sport-centered lifestyle.

1950s

Drainpipe trousers reappeared in the 1950s, with popular Western stars like Roy Rogers cowboys, The Lone Ranger, The Cisco Kid, Zorro and Gene Autry and actresses Marilyn Monroe and Sandra Dee wearing their very thin pants to the ankles of the year 1955 onwards. Tapered jeans became most prominent with country music stars and with the birth of rock and roll in the 1950s, when Elvis Presley wore sleek, shocking jeans. Drainpipe and rock 'n' roll jeans are closely tied to creating a "bad boy" image that still exists today.

The 1960s

In the early 1960s, the exhaust pipe was used by many rock bands and musicians, including The Beatles, The Rolling Stones, and Bob Dylan. Audrey Hepburn fashion icon also raised the popularity of drainage jeans. Tights and jeans that fit not only by Mod mody teenage members or the greaser subculture but also ordinary people. This trend lasted until the late 1960s when the "hippie" culture brought back the fashion of blazing pants and bell jeans.

The 1970s

In the early 1970s, glam rock and rockabilly bands revived Teddy Boy who popularized the drainpipe jeans in contrast to the blazing trousers worn by the hippies. Red tartan drainpipe jeans (as they were later called) were popular in punk subcultures of the late 1970s, and were used by many bands and scene leaders such as Ramones, The Clash and Sex Pistols.

The 1980s

Skin-tight acid-washed jeans were also popular in the 1980s with mostly heavy metal bands, and especially those in thrash metal scenes, such as Anthrax, Megadeth, Metallica and Slayer. This is a trend for those who do not use spandex, which is popular with the dominant heavy metal scene at the time. They are often worn with high sports shoes or basketball shoes like Converse. In the late 1980s, drainpipe pants were largely replaced by straight jeans like Levi 501, but remained popular among hard rock fans until the 1990s. Tight fitting jeans are also worn by pop stars like Michael Jackson and Freddie Mercury.

The 1990s

In the early 1990s, many glam metal bands such as Poison, MÃÆ'¶tley CrÃÆ'¼e, Kiss, Bon Jovi, and Slaughter, abandoned spandex and dressed jeans. Tight jeans were also worn by members of casual subcultures from the late 80s to mid 90s, including Ewan McGregor in Trainspotting. However, with the advent of grunge and hip-hop music in the mid-1990s and post-thrash movements, the drainpipe jeans quickly emerged out of fashion after the carpenter's jeans, as worn by hip-hop/rap like Kris Kross, Other Bad Creations , and Snoop Dogg. Medical issues

Doctors in Victoria theorize that tight pants cause a plague in New York. However, the truth of this claim is questionable, given the often speculative nature of early modern medicine.

In modern times, some doctors believe tights can cause numbness due to nerve compression. For example, this may affect the outer thigh in the meralgia condition of paraesthetica.

A recent study by Korean doctors showed that skinny jeans can cause varicose veins. Among men, tights can also cause dyspermia due to overheating of the testicles.

Religion

In the early and mid-2010, some Middle Eastern Islamist groups did not approve of tights, because they were deemed impolite, overtly sexual, or a threat to local tradition. In Saudi Arabia, police are ordered to arrest teenagers dressed like this because tight jeans look un-Islamic and, when worn by men, are a sign of homosexuality. In the Gaza Strip, Palestinian youths in tight jeans have been arrested and beaten by Hamas police. In Sudan, police have imprisoned and fined women for wearing tight pants.
