Titan Company Limited (formerly known as Titan Industries Limited) is an Indian luxury goods company. This is a joint venture between Tata Group and Tamil Nadu Industrial Development Company (TIDCO).
It started operations in 1984 under the name Titan Watches Limited. In 1994, Titan diversified into jewelry with the Tanishq and later became glasses with Titan Eyeplus. In 2013, Titan entered the fragrance segment under the Skinn brand and, by the end of the year, he entered the helmet category under the Fastrack brand. Also, Titan announced recently (during the last quarter of 2016) about launching a series of affordable Smartwatches under its brand like Sonata and Fastrack soon.
Currently, Titan Company is Tata Group's largest consumer company.

Titan Watch Project started with the signing of Tata Industries joint venture with Tamil Nadu Industrial Development Company (TIDCO) in June 1984. Titan Watches Ltd. started production in 1986 and entered the market in March 1987 under the brand name 'Titan'. In 1993, the company's name was changed to the effects of September 21 from Titan Watches, Ltd. to Titan Industries Ltd., given the fact that the company's products consist not only of watches but also of jewelry.
